N2CQR AM
Here's the AM station that I operated when I was in
Virginia
(1996-2000).
Transmitter is a DX-60B that I assembled from 2 hamfest junkers. The
VFO is
a Heath VF-1 that I had to rebuild. The reciever is on top of the
DX-60B
and is homebrew. It is a Lew McCoy design from the April 1966 QST. Lew
called his receiver "The Mate for the Mighty Midget." I wrote an
article
about my version for the November
1998 issue of Electric Radio. |
